7 Seas inside a particle of an Atom…-

Kathopanishad:

What is there in microcosm
Is very much in Macrocosm.
It's so tiny
And
As well
So mammoth.
It's all there
It's only all there.

Avvaiyar sings Atom is there beyond itself too in her Vinayagar Agaval, - the Psalm in praise of The Hindu Deity, Lord Vinayag.

John Dalton first released his Atom theory in 1808.  As seen in above Kathopanishad, it's evident very early in our Vedic period.

To negate God isn't any new advent to Sanatan Dharma, the value system the Hindus observe and follow from Vedic  Times. That God-negating argument goes by the name, 'nreechravatham'.  One such demon who ruled, sorry misruled those times was the demon, viz., Hiranyakashpu. He commanded his subjects that only he should be worshipped and called God.

To tame any demons, Gods do a trick.  Hiranyakashpu's spouse conceived.  The child in her womb was, in contrast to the demoniac father,  very divine. They named the child Prahlad. He from very birth was a deep devotee of the Hindu Deity, Lord Vishnu, adored in many other divine names. One such was Narayana.  Prahlad started chanting in praise of Vishu by the mantra, 'Ohm, Namo Narayana'. Had Prahlad been outside the family, enraged Hiranyakashpu would have killed him.  Prahlad being his own son, Hiranyakashpu tried all strategies, beating, scolding to get his son to shirk Narayana but worship only the father Hiranyakashpu.  The strategies failed.

Irritated Hiranyakashpu directed his son, "If your God is really there, show me where He is."

Prahlad replied, ' you pierce a tiny Atom, my Lord is there too.". The Poet Kambar, who wrote the Epic Ramayan in Tamil says, "if you tear the atom into 100 micro pieces, you can see the God even in the minutest particle."

Sanatan is eternal and precedes all contemporary sciences, advents by uncountable millennia.

In 1974, 75  the Nobel laureate Dr FritjofCapra was awestruck to see resemblance of Lord Natraj, when he was examining swirling of neutron, proton and electron. The dance of Lord Natraj, the belief is the base of the dynamics in the movement of the world. Kaviarasar sings,."

அசையும் பொருளில் இசையும் நானே
ஆடும் கலையின் நாயகன் நானே

நான் அசைந்தால் அசையும் அகிலமெல்லாமே
அறிவாய் மனிதா உன் ஆணவம் பெரிதா
அறிவாய் மனிதா உன் ஆணவம் பெரிதா அசைந்தால் அசையும் அகிலம் எல்லாமே!

The armour - திருவாச்சி behind the Lord reflects the fiery sparks. The swirling of the atom enlivens and provides the requisite warmth. In recognition of this our people's President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam presented a six feet statue of Lord Nataraj to CERN: the Center for Research in Particle Physics in Geneva.

 

Mahakavi superbly expressed it in his :

“இடையின்றி அணுக்கள் எல்லாம் சுழலுமென இயல்நூலார் இயம்பக் கேட்டோம்”

 

Avvayar went a step ahead and she wished packing seven seas into a torn-off particle of an atom.

Sanatan, much ahead of modern science, blazed the trail and made the latter wonder struck.

Sanatan while speaking of atoms too is indeed a guide of how to lead a disciplined and harmonious life in contrast of Nations boasting of their nuclear power and scaring the world.
